Mentor Program

When a child is removed from their biological home, and placed in foster care, they often feel abandoned, and unable to trust anyone. For many, just realizing that someone does care can be very encouraging.

Our Mentoring Program matches at-risk foster children between the ages of 13-17 with a caring adult who wants to make a positive impact on a child’s life. The Mentor provides the child with guidance and support, and helps them learn how to deal with the challenges and obstacles they may face.

Children who participate in the Mentoring Program will receive the following services and benefits:

  • Weekly contact with a Mentor, that can have a life-long impact
  • Participation in creative and recreational activities
  • Opportunity for career exploration
  • Help with academics
  • Assistance with development of Independent Living Skills
